Helping is Loving, Baba says
OHHH MEH GAWD!Guess what. My father dropped me by the road junction this morning, as usual, I waited at the traffic light. Then this old granny walked towards me, and she seems like talking about something. Sho I remove my earpiece and listen to what she's saying, and I found out she actually got lost. The old granny had a packet of food in a plastic bag, sho I suppose she went to buy breakfast. Sho I asked her where she want to go (in dialect okeh xD), she says that she want to go Ave 8 and don't know how come she landed here, the bus driver told here there's bus no. 112 here and she don't know where. Sho I bring here to the interchange and showed her the way. On the way, I speak to her in dialect and we can communicate quite well xD~ I was suprised when Old granny can understand what i'm saying. I never speak this much of dialect in a day or rather, I don't speak at all but I can understand what others are talking about. Although there are limitations to hokkien and teochew only. I don't even understand my own hainanese dieclet. Way too difficult. Whenever my father or uncles speak hainanese to my granny or aunties, we just sit by the side. My father's side are all English educated, Chinese cannot make it =x Sho I guess I learned dialect by listening to how my mother communicate with relatives from her side. We, Chinese are sho interesting. Sho many languages, sho much to learn.
